Formation of Gangaram Motiram Goel Charitable Trust

The journey of Gangaram Motiram Goel Charitable Trust began on January 18, 1994 with the clear objective of uplifting the underprivileged people, especially the women. To begin with, a Homeopathic dispensary named “Keshav Aushdhalaya” was started at Jain Colony in Uttar Nagar, Delhi on March 4, 1995.

Since the Trust had planned many more activities and the space available in Uttar Nagar was falling short, a plot measuring 650 sq. yards was purchased at Rajendra Park in Nangloi. The building constructed on the plot was inaugurated by Shri Ashok Singhal, then working president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. A tailoring centre was started here on October 18, 1996.

Encouraged by the initial results, the Trust added more activities including Bal Sanskar Kendra, Coaching Centre and Embroidery Centre on October 19, 1997. An Adult Literacy Centre was started on January 14, 1998. A government-recognized Computer Training Centre was started on April 28, 1998. Later, senior RSS Pracharak Shri KS Sudarshan inaugurated Goel Pathological Lab and Library on October 14, 1998.

Over time, the Trust established two types of Tailoring Centres (Diploma & Non-Diploma), one Embroidery Centre, Boys & Girls Sanskar Kendra, Coaching Centre, Adult Literacy Centre, Computer Training Centre and Bhajan Mandali — transforming thousands of lives. The constant guidance and cooperation of Sewa Bharati played a key role in this success.

The Trust was renamed as Gangaram Motiram Goel Sewa Sansthan (Regd) on January 17, 2002 and later as Ganga Sewa Sanstha to spread the work all over the country.
