Overview & Objective

Objective

It is normally witnessed that the people from villages who come to cities in search of livelihood, hardly go back to their villages. The prime objective of Ganga Sewa Sanstha is to reconnect those people to their respective villages.

This initiative has been named as ‘Mera Gaon, Mera Teerth’ (My Village, My Pilgrimage). To achieve this objective, the members of the Sanstha and other well-wishers are motivated to start any of the Sewa activities in their respective villages in the memory of their ancestors.

Tailoring Centre

  • After training, they normally earn from ₹10000 to ₹15000 every month.
  • They stitch the clothes of their neighbourhood, building a local customer base.
  • Some start imparting training of tailoring in schools, colleges, or centres.
  • The syllabus followed is as per National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) guidelines.
